Rear brake squeal!!!

Postby 00Weezer1 on Sun Oct 26, 2008 4:26 am

Anyone else have a problem with the rear brake squealing? Does anyone make a better dust cover or maybe a better slotted disc or any thing that helps?

You are not the only Wolverine Owner that has this problem with the rear brake squeal or squeak. As far as I know, we ALL have had the problem.

The Problem:
The Problem is the brake pads. They stop the bike fine, but make a lot of noise. The rest of the braking system is fine. You will not need another dust cover or brake rotor.

The Solution:
The Solution is simple. Buy a new set of quality brake pads. I personally use Galfer pads, but have had good results with EBC also.

I rode mine till they wore out, then replaced them. They only squeaked for about the first 500 miles....lol. Everyone was telling me to take it back and complain, but I prefer to do all of my own work. Next time I change the brakes on my Wolvy, I will take pictures and write a step by step tutorial. When done it will be posted on this site.
